This course is designed to help students think through the responsibilities, satisfaction and stresses of parenthood. Many types of parenting situations are examined. Stress prevention and management, the work of community agencies that help parents deal with various types of parenting crisis, and the importance of readiness for parenthood. Careful management of time, energy and financial needs in raising a family will be stressed. The student will have the opportunity to care for “RealCare Baby.” The student is not required to care for the “RealCare Baby.” Student evaluation will be based on daily work, participation and attendance in class, independent research, responsibility shown on projects as well as a variety of assessments
